Cultural Resource Surveys

Cultural resources include both historic and prehistoric facilities. These may be buildings, sites, or artifacts that are subject to various protections including eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Many projects are reviewed at the state level by State Historic Preservation Offices to determine possible effects of development on historic properties listed, or eligible for listing, in the National Register of Historic Places, or otherwise of Historical, Architectural, or Archeological value. Many local governments development order applications require investigation into the presence of cultural resources on a proposed development site. Biome Consulting Group is equipped to conduct initial cultural resource investigations and is connected to a network of professional archeologists should the need for higher-order evaluation be required.
